During this part of your trip, you will visit Altos de Cano Hondo, which is located next to Los Haitises National Park, one of the largest national parks in the country with over 1600 km2 and one of the largest limestone formations in the world.
After your walking tour of Altos de Cano Hondo, get ready to jump into the natural pools before lunch and after lunch, you will return to Sabana de la Mar. After 4 and a half hours of activities in Cano Hondo, we’ll return to Sabana. de la Mar.

Mountain Bikes + Taino’s Canoe Los Haitises$74.00
In this activity, you will set off in handmade canoes, just as the Tainos did. You’ll hear many of the sounds that marked their connection to nature: the call of cranes, the dip of crabs in the water, and the gentle lapping of waves against natural rock formations. The arches of the mangrove roots will remind you of cathedrals, and in fact, the Tainos (although they didn’t have churches) were deeply spiritual.
Once you’ve set out with our guide, you’ll enjoy the rich variety of birds, reptiles, and fish in the mangroves. Dazzled by the sparkle of the waves flickering in the morning light, the mountains of Samana in the distance and the emerald green of the swaying palm trees.
